Obviously everybody is different and has different needs but we think that the list below can act as a general guide when deciding on a provider for your self storage.
Why should I use Mobile Storage Services ?

How does your system work?
We drop one of our units on your property and you can load in your own time and then contact our team to collect or we can actually load your unit for you at no extra cost and return for storage. You lock your unit on your drive and keep the key so you never have to leave your home. We provide convenience, dramatically reduced handling and we put “you” back in control.
What can I store?
You can store almost anything in your storage cube. There are a few exceptions listed below
- Living items such as animals or plants
- Hazardous materials such as flammable liquids or explosives
- Items which could decompose such as foodstuffs etc.
- Unauthorised or illegal goods such as firearms etc.
- High value items such as jewellery or cash
How long do I have to stay?
You can store your belongings with us for as little as one day which again makes us unique in the self storage industry in Ireland. If you want your belongings out of the way for an event or occasion, that is not problem. We can drop it back to you the following day and help you offload free of charge. If you want to store your belongings for 2-3 years while you travel talk to our team about our special long term occupancy rates.
How can I pay for my storage?
We offer great flexibility when making payment for your self storage. We can accept cash, credit card, cheque, standing order and now we have recently added an electronic payment option on our website which is proving very popular with our clients. We will send you an invoice on a monthly basis and you can log onto our website and within seconds make a payment which again is unique to the self storage industry.
Are my belongings insured?
Absolutely. The contents of every cube stored is insured to the value of €6,000 which is 50% more than the industry norm of €4,000 and the reason we can offer such strong levels of insurance is that we want to give our customers confidence that we are genuine about looking after their precious belongings and secondly we aim not to damage anything so we are confident about offering such cover. We can also offer enhanced cover for a particular item should it be needed so just talk to our team about your particular needs.
Are my belongings safe?
Absolutely. As above we offer higher levels of insurance than the industry norm because we are confident you will not be lodging a claim. Our newly built state of the art facility has a range of high level security devices fitted and we have a number of clever initiatives in place which will protect your belongings at all times.
How do I know what space I need?
Because everyone has a different set of circumstances and will have different amounts to store we would advise that you talk to our team about your individual needs and we can nearly always tell you over the phone what is required. See our space calculator to get a general indication of what space you are likely to need. Be careful when comparing prices with providers because our experience has shown that standard practice in the self storage industry is to offer pricing for a unit which is quite a bit smaller than required. This becomes apparent when you hire a truck and bring your belongings to storage only to be sold a larger more appropriate unit at a higher price point. At Mobile Storage Services we are eradicating this unprofessional practice which has given the self storage industry a bad name.
Are there any hidden extras?
No. We are refreshingly blunt about this. What you see is what you get which is not the industry norm. You will be quoted for what is required and that is all you will pay. There are no inflated prices to return your belongings when ending your storage term with us. There is no upselling when your goods arrive at our door. All we ask is that you give us one week’s notice of termination and that’s it. You will even be supplied with the lock for your unit free of charge.
Do you sell packaging?
Yes we can sell all the packaging you need to complete your task. We can even offer a service whereby we can pack your belongings for you. Just talk to our team about your needs and even if you have your own packaging we can offer you some advice from our team’s vast experience that might help you when completing the task yourself.
Do I have access to my belongings?
Yes of course,this is no problem at all – just call our team and tell them you want access to your belongings and when you arrive they will be ready for inspection. Another offering which we have that makes us unique is that we can offer a service whereby we can load your belongings back into our transport trailer and bring the whole cube to your door and you can take from it what you need, lock and we can return to storage. You can also use this service to load more belongings into your unit.
